Owning a Home or Renting One?

Each country has its own trend in occupying the home ownership. Some of the citizens may tend to rent it, while others choose to own it. It could depend on the majority's needs, situation, and the condition of the country itself.

The people who choose to buy or build their homes may feel safer if the home belongs to their private property. They will only think about how to spend the money in their early years, and then it will be theirs forever. So, they have the possibility to enjoy their old age in their own home peacefully without worrying about how to pay the rent, because as we know in common, people aged more than 55 will prepare to welcome their retirement period of work. Therefore, they need to spend it wisely with the limited income. And the other advantage is that they have more freedom in expressing their home design creativity based on their wants, needs, and passions. Sometimes, owning a home can be a symbol that you are a permanent resident in that country. It is a representation that you will live in and work in the country for your lifetime. If you have a plan to have more than one home, sometimes they will be good property assets for your future income.

It doesn't mean that choosing to rent a home is a bad choice because these people can get a lot of benefits, too. Having different views by moving into different rented homes, if you get bored with the environment, can give you a new mood booster, perhaps, or choosing the closest distance of a rented home to the workplace is not a bad choice, because at least, you can save more money on transportation. Considering that you only stay in a certain country for a temporary job, it will be better for you to rent a home rather than own one.

Each choice not only has good impacts but also negative ones. By owning a home, you are hoping to be more creative in creating a comfortable situation for yourself. Unlikely for you to move easily many times anytime you have trouble with your surroundings.

On the contrary, renting a home doesn’t mean you have fewer problems. You have to prepare your money well for paying the rent cost, and be ready if the host wants to cut the rental time at any time.

Whatever you choose for living in a home has its own consequences. Think deeply before you prefer to rent or own a home by listing your condition, including the impacts.
